24th Annual Rebuilding Lives Luncheon

Keynote speaker: Tony Porter

Tony is an author, educator and activist working to advance social justice issues. As the co-founder of A CALL TO MEN, Tony is internationally recognized for his efforts to prevent violence against women while promoting a healthy, respectful manhood. He is a leading voice on male socialization, the intersection of masculinity and violence against women, and healthy, respectful manhood. Tony’s 2010 TED Talk has been named by GQ Magazine as one of the “Top 10 TED Talks Every Man Should See.”

Tony is an advisor to the National Football League, National Basketball Association, National Hockey League and Major League Baseball, providing policy consultation, working extensively with player engagement, and facilitating violence prevention and healthy manhood training. He is an international lecturer for the U.S. State Department and has been a guest presenter to the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women. Tony has worked with the United States Military Academy at West Point and the United States Naval Academy at Anapolis.

East Bay Gives

East Bay Gives 2016, hosted by the East Bay Community Foundation, is an opportunity to mobilize everyone in the East Bay for 24 hours. On this same day, many other foundations across the country are hosting similar giving campaigns to support local nonprofits. Last year, from midnight to midnight, East Bay Gives raised more than $649k for 360 nonprofit organizations

Join the movement! Make a gift to STAND! on May 3. Proceeds will help family violence survivors find safety and healing.

Why: To celebrate YOU, fellow volunteers and the reasons we do this work
What: A gathering of volunteers and staff. Dinner will be provided.
When: April 28, 2016 from 5:30pm – 7 pm
Where: STAND! Main Office at 1410 Danzig Plaza, Concord in the Training Room

Please bring an object that represents why you volunteer with STAND! We will be sharing these objects of inspiration with each other throughout the night.
