Dolores Huerta Portrait 2024
STAND! is deeply saddened by the passing of Dolores Huerta, a trailblazing civil rights leader whose courage, resilience, and unwavering commitment to justice transformed countless lives. As an immigrant and the daughter of immigrant farmworkers, I know firsthand the profound difference a courageous leader can make. Her willingness to speak her truth, even in the face of tremendous adversity, reflects the extraordinary strength of survivors everywhere. Dolores Huerta was a tireless champion for farmworkers and a powerful voice for immigrants, women, and underserved communities, inspiring generations to recognize their dignity, their worth, and their power to create change.
May we honor her extraordinary legacy by continuing to stand against injustice and building communities where dignity, equality, and hope are within everyone’s reach.
