Dolores Huerta Portrait 2024
We STAND! with Dolores Huerta, Ana Murguia, Debra Rojas, the others breaking their silence, and those who cannot or choose not to speak. Speaking out publicly takes tremendous courage and deserves our respect, attention, and care for their stories. Healing can only begin when the silence is broken, and those who have been harmed are heard.
We understand that multiple things can be true at the same time. Movements like the domestic violence eradication or farmworkers labor rights movements can and do create space for voices to be heard, for systemic change and accountability for harm created- and as Dolores Huerta stated, “The farmworker movement has always been bigger and far more important than any one individual. Cesar’s actions do not diminish the permanent improvements achieved for farmworkers with the help of thousands of people. We must continue to engage and support our community, which needs advocacy and activism now more than ever.”
Since 1977, we have been committed to answering the call when survivors are ready to speak out and seek help. We STAND! with survivors, always.
