Happy Pride! In the midst of uncertainty and adversity, joy is an act of resistance. We join with others around the world as we unapologetically celebrate queer joy, love, friends, families, and community.
Now, more than ever, Pride is also a time for allies to speak out and oppose those who are working to erase LGBTQIA+ people from public spaces, our history, from our armed services, and our community. We must resist attempts to divide us, or those who sow seeds of hate and fear, pushing disinformation from their bully pulpits. Disturbingly, our LGBGTQIA+ community is facing increased rates of violence, harm, and harassment both here locally, online, and across the country.
This month, and all year, we STAND! in Pride with our staff, volunteers, community, and partners. We STAND! for safe and healthy relationships, no matter whom you love. We STAND! for love, we STAND! for joy, and we hope that you stand with us and celebrate today, and every day.
